Day 4 - Talking veggie food for the meat-eaters

Friday 29th March

Lovely little day off work today, don't know if that's going to help or not with the 90 day challenge. Done some house cleaning so that's certainly some exercise!

I'm off out for a meal this evening which I'm unsure how to balance the diet and eat well, I'll get back to you later on that.

Whilst I'm not veggie or vegan, a lot of my diet is largely meat-free. I have previously found eating meat and complex protein good to keep you fuller for longer, however I have taken the step this time to focus on fiberous veg and Quorn proteins as my main food groups, keeping farmed meats to a small amount c500g a week.

On the meat substitutes
Quorn mince is considerably nicer than beef mince, try it on your spagbol and you'll love it! It's flavour and texture is amazing!

Sausage-wise are not as good, but a good substitute are Linda McCartney Sausages the textures don't match pork but they are nice.
Quorn sausages tend to be very dense and not comparable, but still passable.

Chicken - Quorn is good, vegan Quorn is NOT!

Beefburgers - Seiten burgers area anew substitution containing beatroot to give a pink centre and is hard to distinguish between meat-free and meat! Definitely worth the shot!
